On the other hand, by adopting advanced electronic control technologies and other means, we have developed more advanced engines for small-displacement vehicles to improve fuel efficiency; on the other hand, we are still debugging and improving the matching of various parts of vehicles. When driving at speeds above 120 km/h, the impact on power performance is relatively large, so we will take measures to reduce the vehicle's windward area and rolling resistance.” Hua Fulin, the minister of technology at Geely, told reporters.

Independent brands are actively conducting R&D. Many small-displacement vehicles abroad have shown good dynamic performance. Taking Shanghai Volkswagen POLO as an example, a 1.4-liter manual transmission can reach a speed of 170 km/h, while an acceleration time of 0-100 km/h is only 14.8 seconds. Compared to whether they can meet the technical standards, they are more concerned with whether the policy can actually be implemented.
