On December 23rd, China's first industrial production technology development project for 20,000 tons/year of styrene-butadiene transparent impact resin with independent intellectual property rights passed the technical appraisal organized and presided over by the Science and Technology Department of Guangdong Province in Guangzhou.

It is understood that the localization of the industrial technology of styrene-butadiene transparent impact resin with butadiene and styrene synthesized using butyllithium as the initiator was jointly completed by Guangdong Zhonghe Plastics Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Shengjie Co., Ltd. The total investment of 247 million yuan in Guangdong Zhonghe Plastics Co., Ltd. 20,000 tons / year butyl benzene transparent impact resin device was officially completed and put into production in October 2004. After more than three years of steady industrialization, it has cumulatively produced nearly 50,000 tons of products. This indicates that China has fully mastered the production technology of lithium complex polymers and upgraded the lithium polymer industrial technology to a new level in China.

An appraisal committee composed of experts from the Chinese Academy of Sciences Wang Fosong and other experts in the field of lithium complex polymers in China believes that the project has developed two-tank serial batchwise batch polymerization technology and high-efficiency reactor and optimization control integration technology. It has developed autonomously for the first time in China. Intellectual property 20,000 tons/year styrene-butadiene transparent impact resistance resin industrial production technology. The technology has a molecular structure adjustable, high monomer conversion (above 99%), high solvent recovery (99.8%), solvent consumption of 5 to 10 kg/ton, initiator n-butyl lithium consumption of 1 to 1.1 kg / Ton and the total energy consumption is low (250 kg standard oil / ton), process stability, meet the requirements of environmental protection and other characteristics. The products were tested by National Petrochemical Organic Resin Synthetic Resin Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, and the main performance indicators reached the advanced level of similar foreign products. Experts suggest that they pay close attention to the development of foreign technologies, develop new products, and expand the application of products.
