Shanghai Jin Li Tai Paint Chemical Co., Ltd. recently introduced a new low-temperature curing lead-free cathodic electrophoretic coating.
One of the advantages of the new coating is to reduce the baking curing temperature, which is beneficial to reduce energy consumption and thermal weight loss of the coating, and to eliminate the discoloration of the paint film, thereby improving the coating quality. The second is lead-free. Although lead plays an important role in anti-corrosion, substrate passivation, and catalytically accelerated cross-linking of conventional electrophoretic coatings, its use as a toxic heavy metal element is increasingly restricted. The new cathodic electrophoretic coating uses a special structure of epoxy synthetic emulsion to ensure the anti-corrosion performance and swimming rate of the coating in the lead-free condition. The product has been put into mass production, and has been successfully applied in the mainstream automobile factory in China.
