The first generation of technology enabled the forklift technology to move from a fuel forklift to an electric forklift, realizing the first revolution in forklift technology. The advantages of the second-generation low-voltage AC drive system over the DC drive are: compact motor structure; no consumables such as carbon brushes, commutators, contactors, etc. that need to be replaced regularly, no need for regular maintenance, greatly reduced maintenance costs; volume under the same power And the quality is small, so the size and weight of the forklift can be reduced accordingly; more importantly, the maximum speed of the AC motor is much higher than that of the DC motor, and the power is stronger. After testing, the AC motor is 5%-10% efficient. The third generation permanent magnet AC drive system is a revolutionary technology. It is 5%-8% more efficient than low-voltage AC technology, with a heavier tonnage; a longer one-time charging time and a smaller battery; and two sets of windings for dual power. This technology is currently under development and is mainly tested on small forklifts. This technology is used as a trend in the future development of the forklift industry.
It is understood that the current direct-AC technology leads the forklift market, and the third-generation technology is in the research and development and testing stages, mainly on small forklifts. With the influence of technological innovation, consumption concept and the concept of “advanced and inevitable backwardnessâ€, the forklift industry will fully introduce the third-generation permanent magnet exchange technology. This period is conservatively estimated to take 5-10 years abroad. Domestic forklift technology is developing faster and the time required is relatively shorter.

In December 2002, the variable frequency low-voltage AC motor (ACX) for forklifts was successfully developed in KDS. In 2003, it was exported to Europe and America in batches. This technology has brought a dramatic development to the forklift power system. AC motors have been fully supplied to CROWN, MCFA (MITSUBISHI CATERPILLAR), Hangcha, Heli and other first-line brands.
From 2002 to 2007, in just five years, KDS has occupied an important position in the forklift power system at home and abroad with its excellent products, excellent quality and advanced technology, achieving the leap of world famous brands.
