Weichai Casting and Forging Industrial Park
At present, there are 7 air-jet screw air compressors and 3 centrifugal air compressors in the air compressor station of the Weichai Casting and Forging Industrial Park. A screw air compressor can produce approximately 115,000 kcal per hour during the loading operation. If this heat is recovered, the temperature of 2.3 tons of tap water can be raised to 50 degrees Celsius. To a large extent, the consumption of kinetic energy generated by the water heating of the casting and forging company is reduced.
In 2014, Weichai Energy Company launched the “Air Heater Waste Heat Recovery Project†and adjusted and reformed two of the screw air compressors. By adding a heat recovery system and installing automatic control devices, effective use of waste heat energy was realized. The implementation of the “Air Compressor Waste Heat Recovery Project†can save 65,000 cubic meters of natural gas, save 450 tons of steam, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 300 tons per year.
