According to data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in the cumulative sales statistics of passenger cars from January to July this year, Japanese car sales increased by 13%, the highest increase. Similar to Nissan, Dongfeng Nissan's Sylphy brand ranks seventh, with sales of 172,500 units. Sales data for the first eight months of Nissan this year also increased by 6% to 800,000 units.

According to the data of the Association, there are 10 car companies in this year's joint venture brand sales growth rate of more than 10%. Among them, the Japanese joint venture brand has performed fiercely, and the growth rate of Toyota, Honda and Nissan joint ventures in China has exceeded 10%. In particular, FAW Toyota, which has not completed its annual sales target for four consecutive years, exceeded its annual sales target in 2015, 2016. Specifically, Toyota's joint ventures in China, FAW Toyota and GAC Toyota, sold 323,200 units and 219,452 units respectively, up 18% and 11% year-on-year; Honda's joint ventures in China, Dongfeng Honda and Guangqi Honda, sold 248,405 units and 273,985 units respectively. According to the analysis, Guangqi Honda, Dongfeng Honda, FAW Toyota, GAC Toyota and Dongfeng Nissan all have relatively complete product lines, covering most of the domestic main market segments, which is an important reason for ensuring higher sales growth.
