According to an international interfax report on December 9, Russia will reduce tire import tariffs after its entry into the WTO.
After Russia officially became a member of the WTO (it is expected to July 23, 2012), when the import tariffs on new tyres for young cars will drop to 20%, but not less than 6.2 Euros/only (currently 20%, but not less than 6.9 Euro/ Only); 2013 - 18%, but not less than 5.27 Euros/only; 2014 - 16%, but not less than 4.34 Euros/only; 2015 - 14%, but not less than 3.41 Euros/only; 2016 -12%, but not less than 2.48 euros/only; 2017 - 10%.
New tyres for buses and trucks When the new tyres for young cars have reduced their import duties to 15% in 2012 (after WTO accession), the specific taxes have been waived (currently 15% but not less than €5/only); 2013 – 13.3% ; 2014 - 11.7%; 2015 - 10%.
