NEC uses AR to turn arm into virtual keyboard

The user interface leaves the screen because it is based on AR and VR devices and applications. The latest development in the "No screen interaction" category comes from the company based on the Japan Electric Corporation (NEC), which uses smart glasses and augmented reality to turn your arm into a keyboard.

A concept was first demonstrated in November 2015, an earlier rendering using a pair of eyeglasses and an improved smart watch-to-arm conversion to a virtual keyboard, where confirmation was based on non-contact operation. However, at the latest iteration, the company has removed the dependence of smart watches and has incorporated non-contact operations. This essentially means that users can simply hover their hands over their arms and interact with smart glasses.
NEC believes that this improved interaction will enter hospitals and other workplaces, where workers may need to maintain the use of sterile conditions. In addition, this will also be used where it is not recommended to wear a watch. To make a long story short, you can simply wave your hands and fingers to operate on your arm in the designated area.
