·Easy car sponsored FSEC competition to cultivate "electric" new forces

BEIJING, July 8th, today, the largest auto Internet company in China, the China Automotive Engineering Society and the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation jointly held a press conference in Beijing, announcing the official launch of the 2015 China University Student Electric Formula Competition (FSEC). In the next five years, Easy Car will sponsor a public welfare sponsorship event of 15.2 million yuan to promote the race into the forefront of the International Formula Student Auto Competition, and continue to deliver fresh blood to the Chinese automotive industry and the electric vehicle industry.
In the past two years, relevant national ministries and commissions and local governments at various levels have successively issued a number of policies to support the development of new energy automobile industries such as electric vehicles. The data shows that in 2014, the production and sales volume of new energy vehicles in China increased by 3.5 times and 3.2 times respectively compared with the previous year, showing an explosive growth. According to the "Made in China 2025" plan, by 2020, the annual sales volume of self-owned brand pure electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles will exceed 1 million units, and by 2025 it will need to reach 3 million units.
Zhang Jinhua, executive vice president and secretary general of the China Automotive Engineering Society and deputy director of the FSC Organizing Committee, said: "In the context of national policy encouragement, industrial investment is hot, technology is maturing, and social attention is high, we will pass to China this year. The electric vehicle group of the Formula Student Competition (FSC) was independently developed and upgraded to form the Chinese University Student Electric Formula Competition (FSEC) to better cultivate automotive talents and serve the future development of the automotive industry."
The first FSEC event attracted more than 30 university teams including Beijing Institute of Technology, Tongji University, Chongqing University, South China University of Technology, and Southeast University. The college students of these teams will design and manufacture a small single-seat electric car with excellent performance in acceleration, braking and handling, and compete for the championship through 8 static and dynamic competitions.
At the event site, the China Automotive Engineering Society, China Soong Ching Ling Foundation and the Yiche Company signed a strategic cooperation agreement. In the next five years, Easy Car will donate 15.2 million yuan to FSEC through the Autobot Care Fund jointly established with China Soong Ching Ling Foundation. At the same time, Easy Car is the official deep cooperation partner of the event. As the sole public welfare support unit of the whole process, China Soong Ching Ling Foundation will play its own advantages and support the development of the event. Among them, E-Car will send representatives to serve as deputy director of the organizing committee and deputy secretary-general of the competition, to undertake the planning, organization and promotion of the competition.

According to the "China Automotive Talent Development Strategy Research" report, the annual demand for Chinese automotive industry technicians will exceed 5 million in 2015, and will reach 7.76 million by 2020. Under the current model, colleges and universities are the main base for the “technical-management compound” talent transportation of the automobile industry. The direction of the cultivation of automobile talents in universities is related to the future of China's automobile industry. Undoubtedly, the FSEC competition will effectively test and improve the training mode of college auto talents through frontier and actual combat methods, and promote the closer integration of college education and industrial development.
