The National Standards Commission will also jointly publish the "Resources Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization Standard Development Plan for 2008-2010" jointly with the National Development and Reform Commission and other departments to strengthen international cooperation with countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, and France in the standardization of energy resources.

In addition, Liu said on average that the National Standards Committee will also improve the agricultural standard system; raise the level of traditional industry standards, and speed up the improvement of standard systems for equipment manufacturing, steel, nonferrous metals, chemicals, textiles, building materials, and other traditional fields, and raise the standard of technology. Level; establish a public safety standardization system, organize the compilation of public safety standards planning for traffic safety, fire safety, information security and special equipment, speed up the development of relevant standards; continue to focus on hi-tech standardization work, and focus on strengthening e-government, e-commerce, etc. The development of standard systems in the field of information technology, biomedical engineering, nanotechnology, and other key standards; accelerate the development of service industry standardization and expand the coverage of service standards.

It is reported that according to preliminary calculations, a standard system that conforms to China's economic development and scientific and unified authority requires more than 30,000 national standards. China currently has only 21,000 and there are more than 10,000 national standards to be developed.
