A breakthrough research on nanocatalytic technology from Xiamen University was recently selected into the Top 10 News of China's basic research sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology. Last year, the research results of Xiamen University were also first published in the United States "Science" magazine.
The “Top Ten News†was jointly selected by the Basic Research Management Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Academic Department of the Chinese Science Association. The “Synthetic Tetrahedral Platinum Nanocrystals with High Electrocatalytic Activity†sponsored by Prof. Sun Shigang, Vice President of Xiamen University, was selected. The results of university selection include the three projects of China University of Science and Technology, Nanjing University and Zhejiang University. The jury’s comment on the Xiamen University project was “a major breakthrough in nanocatalyst synthesisâ€.
