QS Logo - Plastic Processing Industry Upgrade

The implementation of the “Limited Plastic Order” has left many unqualified small businesses on the verge of death. It is understood that more than 100 manufacturers from all over the country have gathered in Beijing to exchange information on the future development of plastic shopping bags.
Dong Jinshi, deputy chairman of the China Plastics Association Plastics Recycling Specialist Committee, said that the "plastic limit order" has had a great impact on the plastic shopping bag industry. Most of the production companies have to be eliminated and the remaining companies have two development directions. One is to go to the high-end, through the QS certification to enhance the quality and grade of the product; one is to go down to produce some environmentally friendly garbage bags.
The person in charge of Zichen Paper & Plastic Packaging Co., Ltd. stated that the purpose of their visit was to apply for the QS logo to allow the company to upgrade. The director of Beijing Huayixing Plastic Products Factory stated that because of the application for the QS logo, at present, the factory has stopped production and rebuilt, and this investment alone has reached more than 3 million.
Dong Jinshi said that at present, the plastics industry has obtained more than 500 QS certifications, and more than 200 are currently undergoing processing. Finally, it can reach more than 1,000. These large-scale plastic processing companies will accelerate the upgrading of the industry.
He believes that because the application for the QS logo also has a certain threshold, first of all, there is a certain requirement for the strength of the company. Only one plant and equipment will reach more than 1 million yuan, while renovations, inspections, warehouses, and personnel disinfection will require 200,000 yuan. 300,000 yuan, this will certainly not work for small-scale enterprises. At present, more than 60,000 plastic bag manufacturers, more than half of SMEs will be eliminated.
Are these SMEs that have not received QS certification "a dead end"? Dong Jinshi did not think so. "The current use of garbage bags is also very large. When companies are unable to get to 'high' places, they can consider going to 'low' places, using waste plastics as garbage bags, without considering color, etc. The problem is that the future biodegradable garbage bags are also a key development direction of the country."
