Recently, Zhao, a fruit farmer in Daxindian Town of Penglai City, purchased 1 ton of "potassium sulfate compound fertilizer." After application, more than 500 fruit trees in full fruit period did not "wake up", with more than 300 trees dead and more than 100 trees. It will cut production and another 30 peach trees will be damaged.
After receiving complaints from the farmers, Penglai City Industrial and Commercial Bureau immediately arranged a special person to conduct on-site surveys and sampled 3.2 tons of chemical fertilizers not yet sold by the dealers. After testing, the content of various nutrients in the chemical fertilizer is seriously insufficient, and the distributor cannot provide a specific manufacturer. The source cannot be verified. It belongs to counterfeit and inferior fertilizer, and the dealer is investigated and dealt with according to law.
After several mediations, the distributor reached an agreement with the fruit grower: the dealer paid a one-time compensation of 250,000 yuan for the fruit grower. The case is still under further investigation and processing.
