International top-level photovoltaic testing equipment arrived in Chengdu to help new energy industry

Professor Martin Green, the father of world solar energy, made a special trip to Chengdu to attend the unveiling ceremony of the Technical Center and academician workstations and the seminar on new energy development. He expressed his appreciation for Chengdu’s efforts to build a national-level energy industry cluster.

On September 27, Tianwei New Energy Technology Center and academician workstations were unveiled in Chengdu. Dr. Martin Green, the father of world solar energy, made a special trip to Chengdu to attend the New Energy Development Seminar.

The reporter was informed that as the first technology center in the state-owned enterprises in the new energy photovoltaic industry in China, Chengdu has had the world's most advanced photovoltaic testing and experimental equipment since then. Industry insiders pointed out that the arrival of new equipment will provide strong support for Chengdu to actively develop new energy industries.

According to the Tianwei New Energy Holding Company, the company currently has a research and development building with an area of almost 4,000 square meters. It has equipped or is currently equipped with the world's best photovoltaic testing and experimental equipment, including 2,000 square meters of clean rooms, and World-class R&D instruments such as spectrographs, low births testers, and infrared Fourier transform spectrometers from countries such as the United States, Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, and Hungary. “These advanced equipment and instruments can satisfy everything from silicon wafers to components. The entire research and development needs of the solar energy industry chain will lay a solid foundation for Chengdu's photovoltaic industry to engage in international leading scientific research activities."
