China Delivers Mongolian International Science and Technology Assistance Project Instruments

On January 28th, China's Mongolian "International Scientific and Technological Assistance Project Instrument handover ceremony" was held in Beijing. Sun Dawei, deputy director of the State Administration of Quality Supervision, and Chao Lumen, vice minister of the Ministry of Health of Mongolia attended the handover ceremony and delivered a speech.

Sun Dawei pointed out in his speech that the Chinese government attaches great importance to the issue of public health security, earnestly fulfills the duties and obligations of the members of the World Health Organization, attaches importance to the research on public health security, increases scientific research and capital investment, and strengthens international cooperation. China is linked to the mountains and waters of Mongolia and must strengthen cooperation, especially in the areas of information, technology, and resources, so as to prevent and intervene in advance and jointly deal with these challenges and problems. In the field of quality inspection, China and Mongolia have always attached great importance to exchanges and cooperation and established a good relationship. From 1992 to the present, China and Mongolia have signed 14 cooperation agreements and memoranda in the field of quality inspection, covering animal quarantine, plant quarantine, food safety, standards, measurement, certification and accreditation, and quality management. Healthy development has played an important role. With the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, the “China-Mongolia Rat-borne Diseases Laboratory Cooperation” project has completed the development and collection of related reagents, instruments and equipment as required, and delivered the Mongolian government on time and on a promise basis. This assistance will enable both parties to make full use of their respective advantages, effectively integrate and share resources, and conduct more extensive and cutting-edge research on cooperation.

Chao Lumen expressed thanks to the AQSIQ for years of good cooperation with the Ministry of Health of Mongolia, the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, the Ministry of Food Industry, the General Administration of Supervision, and the Bureau of Standards and Metrology, and hoped that the two sides will build more extensively in the future. The platform for cooperation will actively promote mutually beneficial cooperation and strive to benefit the people of both countries.
