At the 2005 China Central Motor Show, Wuhan Zhongyu launched three new car products. It is famous for its “Benz-Benz†and ushered in its most glorious period. However, in recent years, due to the relatively narrow market positioning of commercial vehicle products and high selling prices, such as the redesigned Mercedes-Benz vehicles priced at more than 800,000 yuan, the models have always been applauded in the market.

Mini car next year off the assembly line

Dongfeng Lu'an is planning to have an annual production capacity of 200,000 vehicles and is expected to be offline from August to October next year.
It is understood that Dongfeng Junan's products are located in the same level with the QQ mini-car, is expected to price range of 30,000 yuan -10 million, will fill the gap in Wuhan's current mini-car production.
Another highlight was the Dongfeng Volvo joint venture project. The reporter learned from many parties that the joint venture agreement between Dongfeng Co., Ltd. and Volvo has come to an end and the two sides intend to establish a heavy truck production line. The joint venture company will select a site between Shiyan and Wuhan.
Dongfeng Honda Plant 2 is about to start
Following the formal commencement of this year's Shenlong Second Plant, Dongfeng Honda also announced that it will start the second factory expansion project in Wuhan next year. The Dongfeng Honda No. 2 plant will have an annual production capacity of 120,000 vehicles and is expected to be ready for production next year. By then, Dongfeng Honda will have an overall vehicle production capacity of 360,000 units, making it one of the top domestic vehicle manufacturers.
In addition, the second plant of Shenlong, which will annually produce 150,000 cars, will also be put into operation by the end of next year, when the capacity of Shenlong will reach 450,000. If we add Dongfeng Panan's 200,000 capacity and Dongfeng Electric Vehicle's 10,000 capacity, next year, Zhunkou will achieve 1.02 million vehicle capacity.
In addition, the construction of the third plant of Shenlong and the Dongfeng independent brand project is under construction. It is expected that the production capacity of the vehicle in Zhunkou will exceed the threshold of 2 million vehicles in 2015.
