In mid-August, China's largest domestically-designed and manufactured air separation unit was successfully driven by Anqing Petrochemical once and produced qualified high-purity oxygen and nitrogen. This indicates that China's large-scale air separation plant equipment will no longer be completely dependent on imports. China's air separation equipment manufacturing industry has entered the international advanced ranks.
This air separation unit was jointly designed and manufactured by Hangzhou Oxygen Concentrator Group, Shenyang Blower Group and Hangzhou Steam Turbine Co., Ltd. The Sinopec Ningbo Engineering Company is responsible for the construction and installation. The device adopts molecular sieve purification and medium-pressure nitrogen turbocharged turboexpander refrigeration. Its core equipment large-scale compressor is the largest air compressor unit independently designed by our country at present, compared with the traditional double-shaft drive turbine in the traditional sense, in operation. The load regulation is more comfortable and the energy saving effect is obvious. The air separation plant designed to produce oxygen capacity of 48,200 cubic meters per hour is one of the key equipment for the "oil-to-coal" project of Anqing Petrochemical's chemical fertilizer raw materials, and it is also an oil-to-coal reformation of China's chemical fertilizers using domestic air separation plants. With a bold exploration in technology, the high purity nitrogen and oxygen produced will provide sufficient raw materials for Anqing Petrochemical's annual output of 330,000 tons of synthetic ammonia and 580,000 tons of urea plant.
In the past three years, the market structure of China's air separation equipment is gradually changing. The domestic market share of air separation equipment in the petrochemical and fertilizer industries has increased from 14.5% in 2002 to about 30% in 2005. At the same time, China's air separation equipment continues to refresh in terms of scale and performance, and it is taking unprecedented efforts to seize domestic and foreign high-end air separation markets. In addition to the 48,000 air separation plants at Anqing Petrochemical, which were put into operation, two sets of 63,000 cubic meters/space-time equipment provided by Hangyang for Iran and 52,000 cubic meters/time-space equipment for the 500,000 tons/year methanol project of Zhongyuan Dahua were provided. It will also be put into operation within the next two years, and the largest record of domestic air separation equipment will be rewritten.
The reporter learned from the China General Machinery Industry Association's Gas Separation Equipment Branch that the main performance parameters and technical indicators of the domestic 40,000 to 60,000 class air separation plants have been synchronized with foreign countries, and some of the indicators are close to the international advanced level, such as the oxygen extraction rate can be Up to 95% to 97%, argon extraction rate of up to 70% to 80%. At present, the biggest problem with localization is that there are certain difficulties in the design and manufacture of compressors for air distribution compressors with a size of more than 50,000.
