On the morning of August 10th, the People's Government of Hebi City and Sinopec Development Planning Department signed a cooperation agreement for Sinopec Henan Hebi Coal Chemical Integration Project, which signified that Sinopec's large-scale coalification integration project officially settled in Hebi.
The Sinopec Henan Hebi Coal Chemical Integration Project is an important part of our province's strategic cooperation with Sinopec to achieve complementary advantages, mutual benefit and common development, including coal mining and coal chemical industry, of which only the coal chemical industry is 180 Ten thousand tons of methanol to olefins project, Sinopec will invest 15 billion yuan. It is understood that this is by far the largest coal chemical project in Henan Province. From April 2008, Hebi City planned to start the project. In February of this year, the provincial government and Sinopec signed a memorandum of understanding for the meeting and agreed to immediately start the preliminary work of an annual production of 1.8 million tons of methanol-to-olefins projects. Industry sources pointed out that the implementation of this project will greatly enhance the strength of the coal chemical industry in Henan Province and will greatly improve the economic structure and taxation status of Hebi City.
The agreement stipulates that during the construction of the project, the Hebi City government will give financial, project infrastructure and construction environment support policies for the project. Sinopec agreed to establish the construction content and construction plan of the coal mining-coal chemical integration project by the end of July, and strive to complete the establishment of the project joint venture company in the third quarter of 2010. By the end of November, it will strive to complete feasibility studies, application reports, and environmental impact assessment of coal chemical projects. Such as the preparation and the joint report with the Henan Provincial Government project approval report.
