However, in the field of high-end shearers, China used to rely entirely on imported machinery and equipment. These imported equipment are expensive, and there are also many problems in the supply of spare parts. China's major coal mines hope to have the “big and inexpensive†super power coal miners produced by China themselves as soon as possible.
With the support of Shaanxi Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Xi'an Coal Mining Machinery Co., Ltd., a large-scale backbone enterprise designed and manufactured by China's coal mining machine, began research in 2006 and organized research personnel to research and develop large-scale power coal mining machines. After more than two years of hard work, China has finally developed the first superpower coal mining machine with a capacity of more than 2000 kilowatts, namely the MG900/2210-WD shearer. The total installed power of the coal mining machine is 2210 kilowatts, and the designed annual production capacity is 8 million tons of raw coal. The coal seam thickness that can be mined can be up to 6.3 meters. In addition, an intelligent monitoring system has been developed to enable real-time remote monitoring of the shearer while working.
On December 13, national authoritative experts carried out a comprehensive appraisal and acceptance of the superpower coal miner developed by Xi'an Coal Mining Machinery Co., Ltd., and agreed that the product has reached the current international advanced level and has filled the gap in China's extraordinarily large power coal miner. And compared with the foreign large-scale power coal mining machine, the domestic coal mining machine is cheaper than 40%, and can completely replace imported products.
