Security Surveillance Camera LED Drive Solution

The demand for video surveillance and security monitoring is booming, and the technology is also becoming more economical for personal and business applications. Driven by higher standards of security requirements, millions of surveillance cameras have been installed worldwide.
Since many surveillance cameras are always on, surveillance camera manufacturers have turned to energy-efficient light emitting diode (LED) lighting. Compared to the previously used incandescent/fluorescent lamps, the efficiency of the LED is increased by 80-90% and the heat dissipation is low. At the same time, LEDs also have a longer service life, occupying less space in the application of video surveillance cameras.
As the number of production increases, camera makers require LED drivers to be simpler, more compact, and lower cost. At the same time, they need LED drivers to meet the requirements of higher efficiency, lower power consumption, higher accuracy, and better image resolution. In the face of these challenges, hardware engineers need an LED driver solution that meets all of these requirements.
TI's TPS54200 is a new DC/DC synchronous buck LED driver that helps support video surveillance and other end equipment. The device provides an efficient, cost-effective solution with high analog dimming accuracy. The TPS54200 is available in a simple, small outline transistor (SOT) 23-6 package that allows users to easily design an LED driver board.
Figure 1 shows a simplified schematic of the TPS54200, which drives a series of white LEDs with a minimum number of external components. This will be a good solution for commercial/industrial video surveillance cameras or other general purpose LED lighting.
Figure 1: Simplified schematic of the TPS54200
When driving LED strings, the TPS54200 has a low RDS(on) value to provide high efficiency. The flip-chip-on-lead (FCOL) technology minimizes the inductance and resistance between the die and package leads. With its low on-resistance, the device can operate with high efficiency (97% peak efficiency) and keep the power consumption of the surveillance camera as low as possible. See Figure 2.
Figure 2: TPS54200 efficiency at 1A load
TI designed the TPS54200's analog dimming function with excellent accuracy, making the current through the LED proportional to the pulse width modulation (PWM) duty cycle with good linearity and good linearity. See Figure 3. Therefore, you can make the microcontroller unit (MCU) produce PWM pulses that are more accurate than typical dimming with a DC voltage.
Figure 3: 100% Linearity of LED Current and PWM Duty Cycle
With the TPS54200, a series of LEDs can be driven with very high brightness accuracy via PWM inputs, even with a 5% PWM duty cycle. This is a great benefit for end-equipment designers who want to ensure accurate brightness control, even when using unadjusted LEDs for low cost. See Figure 4.
Figure 4: Current Accuracy Test of TPS54200 LED with Uncalibrated White LED Lamp
In keeping with the current global trend of low-power LED lighting, the TPS54200 can drive a series of white LEDs with high brightness control in a simple, easy-to-use, cost-effective design. For video surveillance camera manufacturers and other terminal equipment manufacturers who need to use simple LED drivers for serial LED lighting, they will find the value of such a solution to them.   Stainless steel pipe or thin-walled parts, the cutting is light, the vibration is small, the chips are brittle, and the workpiece is not deformed. High-speed milling with carbide  milling of stainless steel with indexable which have achieved good results. When CNC Milling stainless steel, the cutting edge must be sharp and bear the impact, and the chip pocket should be large.
