The Italian positioning chip supports China Beidou System
Recently, STMicroelectronics introduced a Teseo III stand-alone single chip. The new product series can receive signals from multiple satellite navigation systems, including China Beidou, the United States GPS, the European Galileo, Russia GLONASS and Japan's QZSS.

The new Teseo III product family inherits the industry-leading product performance of the STMicroelectronics Teseo II single-chip satellite tracking ICs, bringing the positioning accuracy to a new level. The new generation of products takes full advantage of ST's strong commitment to dead reckoning and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) functions and support for sensor data integration.
The Teseo III product line currently has two product lines: The STA8089 series adds support for the Beidou satellite positioning system and is compatible with Teseo II series pins, allowing customers to quickly migrate (or upgrade) applications. In addition to supporting China's Beidou satellite positioning system, STA8090 series has added a more energy-efficient power management unit.
TeseoIII has been tested, sampled and supplied to customers in the first quarter of 2014.
