TüV 2014 Report: Significant Maintenance Results Mann Continues to Lead

In the TüV 2014 Commercial Vehicle Report, Mann was the third-highest truck manufacturer with no "TüV" complaints for the third consecutive year. This data represents the high quality of vehicles from Munich.

The TGL, TGM, TGS, and TGX series trucks have the lowest defect rates in vehicles that have been used for 1, 3, 4, and 5 years. Manne further expanded his lead position in the use of trucks for one year: 83.2% of the vehicles did not show any defects (2013: 82%). In trucks with longer life spans, the proportion of Mann vehicles without any defects in ordinary inspections also exceeded the average.

Regular maintenance effect is remarkable

According to the TüV report, the heavy truck level shows a good level of maintenance above average. This proves that for truck operators, regular professional maintenance is absolutely worth the money. The advantage of maintenance is that the vehicles in the parking lot are always in a state of being able to run without being sent to the maintenance workshop because of neglect of maintenance.

"I am proud of Mann's yet another outstanding achievement. It proves our great efforts in quality assurance and motivates us to make continuous progress," said Anders Nielsen, chief executive officer of Mann Commercial Vehicles. “The increase in the number of maintenance and maintenance contracts shows that customers still consider Mann as a reliable partner after purchasing a vehicle and believe that we are a reliable helper.”

In the TüV commercial vehicle report, the TüV Technical Inspection Association, together with the professional magazine Verkehrsrundschau, evaluated the results of tests performed on the annual inspection of commercial vehicles that had been used for one to five years.
